Remember when everyone had respect for God, Country and the man in the White House that we called our President? That disappeared after the 2008 election. A President of a country is supposed to stand up for what is right and good for a nation and its people and the laws of the land. He stood there with his hand on the Bible and gave the following oath: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” Two times he gave that oath. Two times that oath meant nothing but a means to an end to destroy this country.
Now the White House is suggesting that Columbia University teachers should involve the students in the Ferguson affair. Columbia is one of the most liberal colleges in the Nation and one teacher suggested that students could write letters to politicians, activists and people directly involved in the incident, creating a classroom memorial to Michael Brown. The professor believes it would be the best teaching practice, but did not explain whether it would be on expanding the lives of the students, or on how to rob a convenience store. At Columbia, teaching anything about the Constitution is out of the question, of course.
Michael Brown was one of those unfortunates that did not have the benefit of a home with a mother and father. He was raised by his grandmother. He became a juvenile thug, plain and simple. No one wanted to see him dead. He caused that when he went to rob that convenience store. Let’s not forget one word in the English language. “Priorities.” He caused his death, not that police officer. If he had not have gone to that convenience store to rob it, he would not be dead. You cannot make a memorial, nor does he deserve a memorial, for being a robber.
Instead of our President inciting dissention between blacks and whites, this would be a great time for him to bring the country together. Martin Luther King made great strides doing just that. All was quiet for many years. The only time you heard any noise was when Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson was inciting and inflaming racism. Now we have the biggest racist of all in the White House. One who could have done the most good for all people is doing the most harm for all people.
